Hawaii's climate is typical for the tropics, although temperatures and humidity tend to be a bit less extreme due to near-constant trade winds from the east. Summer highs are usually in the upper 80s °F, (around 31°C) during the day and mid 70s, (around 24 °C) at night. Winter day temperatures are usually in the low to mid 80s, (around 28 °C) and (at low elevation) seldom dipping below the mid 60s (18 °C) at night. Snow, not usually associated with tropics, falls at 4,205 metres (13,800 ft) on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island in some winter months. Snow rarely falls on Haleakala. Mount Waiʻaleʻale, on Kauaʻi, has the second highest average annual rainfall on Earth, about 460 inches (11.7 m). Most of Hawaiʻi has only two seasons: the dry season from May to October, and the wet season from October to April.[26]

Ocean View (Superior Room): These rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and are basically pool facing and also have a partial view of the sea. It's really hard to not love our pools! View more.... Yeah, last minute travel can be cool. But it can also leave you cash poor, especially when you’re talking high-seasontravel in major vacation destinations. But as with most things in life, a just little edumuhcation can go a long way. Case in point: Kayak.com’s Fare Alerts.
Create a Fare Alert (or 12) on Kayak.com or SideStep.com for the summer getaway(s) currently sequestered in your noggin by clicking on the “Get fare alerts for this trip” link on the top right-hand corner of the flight results page. You can track fares for specific dates, a flexible span of time (e.g. summer weekends or, say, the month of June) or an entire region. When your daily or weekly Fare Alert touches down in your email inbox, you’ll be able to make informed travel decisions. Posted Oct 13 2008 5:49 PM by Adam Brand
